A Portrait of Katherine Mansfield: A Woman and a Writer
Katherine Mansfield was born Kathleen Mansfield Beauchamp of 25 Tinakori Rd, Wellington on the 14 October 1888, the third of five children of Harold and Annie Beauchamp. She spent most of her adult life in the UK and Europe and wrote over 100 short stories before her death in France on 9 January, 1923, aged 34. The 16 note books, jotters and thousands of personal letters she left still fascinate historians. This film looks at Mansfield’s life and work in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Europe.
