Screening as part of our Politics on Film series.

In 2004 a political storm was unleashed at the Orewa Rotary Club: Hurricane Brash. The fury, which came out of nowhere, in just a few months revived the fortunes of the National Party, led by Dr Don Brash.

Political cartoonist Tom Scott narrates this documentary, which looks at Brash’s first 100 days as leader – beginning with his victory against Bill English, and finishing with National’s rebound in the polls following his controversial Orewa Speech.
